Texas, the time has come for us to part ways. You're the only place we have ever lived but the six of us deserve better. We're heading west to colorful Colorado full of optimism and hope for a better quality of life, especially for our sons with disabilities. .The weather and scenery aren't too bad, either.

I never knew there was a word to describe this feeling I've lived with for as long as I can remember. It's not as though there was anything I could do with that feeling even if knew what to call it. The first half of my life there was a resource issue, and the second half there's been this whole small matter of having a family. ​

A wanderlust soul refers to a person with an intense, deep-seated longing to roam and explore new places. Rooted in the German words wandern (to hike) and lust (pleasure), it represents a restless spirit that feels "alive" when moving, seeking freedom, and discovering the unknown.

Yep, that sounds about right. Now the timing is, too! I do my finest thinking and have the best and worst ideas on the road. I've decided to begin recording and sharing them here.
